As a streetwear label’s volume grew beyond 5,000 units per season, more than 4% of its delivered goods had defects. Most involved print misregistration, first discovered after the shipments reached the US.
We added 100% inspection at the factory, checking every unit for print registration and stitch quality against the approved sample before the goods left for shipment.
The defect rate on delivered goods fell to 0.4% across the next three production runs. Issues identified during the factory checks were reworked before those shipments left.
